Salvation

Salvation is described as the deliverance from the power of sin in the life of an individual. It can only be obtained through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. According to Acts 16:31, when a person believes in Christ, he or she is saved.

Jesus' mission was to save the world from sin and the wrath of God (Matthew 1:21; John 12:47; Romans 5:9). During His earthly ministry, salvation was brought to us by His presence and the power of faith (Luke 19:9-10). Now, our salvation is based on His death and resurrection.

Romans 10:9-10 says it best. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
